History: An authentic signature
When Robyn Cosgrove’s passion for rugs began in the mid 1970s, the world was a different place. Travel was difficult and dangerous. Communication was non-existent and much of Sub-Continental Asia was third world and untapped. But still, for many years Robyn travelled to India repeatedly, pioneering her own creative vision through the darkest corridors in search of the highest quality craftsmanship of weavers to represent her work. And, to this very day, she has maintained those bonds which have ultimately become the authentic signature behind her creative vision.

Robyn Cosgrove is an active member and supporter of the worldwide association CARE & FAIR – Carpet Trade Against Child Labour. Founded in September 1994 by socially engaged carpet traders, the association manages industry-related help for self-help with which illegal child labour is combated, improving the situation of the weavers and their families in the carpet producing areas of India, Nepal and Pakistan.
